Según el Centre for Cities: "with the launch of the Lyons Inquiry final report and the signing of the Central Local Concordat, last year (2007) marked a key period in the relationship between central and local government. As a new set of Local Area Agreements are signed, and with a new White Paper 'Unlocking the Talent of our Communities' and legislation following the Sub National Review due, this conference offers a timely opportunity to consider the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the relationship between Whitehall and the Town Hall.
